📦 Shipping Policy — Standard Chemicals Corporation

At Standard Chemicals Corporation, we ship all orders quickly, safely, and in full compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and EPA/FIFRA regulations for pool and water-treatment chemicals. Below you’ll find all details regarding our shipping methods, timelines, and requirements.


1. Shipping Methods & Carriers

Because our products contain regulated chemicals such as TCCA and Cal Hypo all shipments must travel via ground transportation only.

We ship using:

  • UPS Ground (small parcel orders)
  • LTL Freight (Less-Than-Truckload) for palletized orders

Air shipping (Next Day, 2-Day, Express, etc.) is prohibited for regulated oxidizing materials under federal law.


2. Shipping Restrictions

We currently ship to:

  • The contiguous United States (lower 48 states)

Due to hazardous material regulations, we cannot ship to:

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • U.S. Territories
  • APO/FPO addresses
  • P.O. Boxes (carrier rules for Limited Quantity packages)

All orders require a valid physical address.


3. Limited Quantity Chemical Shipments

Most Standard Chemicals products qualify for shipment under the DOT Limited Quantity classification.
This allows safe consumer transport without a HazMat surcharge, but requires:

  • Use of approved packaging
  • Proper Limited Quantity diamond labeling
  • Ground-only transport

Customers do not need any special certifications to receive these shipments.


4. Processing & Handling Times

Orders are typically processed in:

  • 1–2 business days for in-stock items
  • Orders placed after 2pm ET may begin processing the next business day

5. Delivery Times

Once shipped, typical delivery times are:

  • 2–4 business days via UPS Ground (depending on your state)

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to:

  • Carrier delays
  • Weather
  • Seasonal demand
  • Regional distance from our shipping facility

6. Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated based on:

  • Weight of the product
  • Customer location
  • Carrier Ground rates
  • Packaging & compliance requirements

Your exact shipping rate will be displayed during checkout before payment.


7. Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Include:

  1. Order number
  2. Photos of the damaged product
  3. Photos of the shipping box and packaging

We will arrange a replacement shipment after verification.


8. Do Not Return Chemical Shipments

Due to hazardous material regulations, customers may not ship chemical products back to us under any circumstances. All sales are final per our Return Policy.
If your order is incorrect or damaged, our support team will handle the replacement.


9. Order Changes or Cancellations

Orders cannot be changed or cancelled once they have entered the fulfillment or shipping process, as regulated chemical shipments cannot be intercepted or returned.
